Watershed Table

The watershed exhibit represents the area around the Rensselaer Technology Park and The Children’s Museum of Science and Technology. This small watershed is part of the larger Hudson River watershed.

Watersheds are important because the stream running through your backyard may very well lead to the Hudson River or to some other large body of water. So what you do where you live affects the water quality somewhere else! We all live downstream of someone!

The CMOST watershed exhibit has an interactive table top that highlights different features of the local landscape. In the drawers of the exhibit there are several different artifacts for hands on exploration.
