Birthday Parties



Birthday Party Rates:
$205 for CMOST members
$240 for non-CMOST members

  • Party rates are based on 16 children. There is a charge of $8.50 for each additional child.
  • We require a non-refundable $100 party deposit. Deposits are due at time of booking.
  • Goody Boxes are also available at additional cost of $4.50 each.
  • CMOST logo Balloons are available for $1.00 each.
  • The Junior Science Lab is available to CMOST members only for a $25.00 additional room rental charge.
  • Please place your request for a birthday party at least 2 weeks in advance. Please call to check date availability.
  • Bookings are made as dates become available on a first-come first served basis.

Celebrate your child’s birthday at CMOST!
Birthday parties at The Children’s Museum of Science and Technology bring a unique educational twist to your birthday party. Enjoy the use of a private birthday party room for two hours while exploring all that The Museum has to offer!

Birthday parties are offered Friday through Sunday. Party times are at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Other days and times may be arranged if circumstances allow. We recommend that you book your party as early as possible to ensure you get the date and time that best suits your needs.

The Museum provides tablecloths, place settings, a souvenir t-shirt and balloon for the birthday child, a small gift for each attendant, and your party's food and drink. Check out our birthday party brochure and make your food arrangements with CMOST when you reserve your party!

We request that parents/chaperones manage their group’s behavior at all times. Parents and chaperones are also responsible for the birthday party clean up. No food, drinks, or balloons are allowed out of the birthday party rooms.

ANIMALS ABOUND
Have you ever wondered what turtles eat? Or how a snake moves? What about why a bunny has such large eyes? Learn about the animal world through a hands-on presentation led by your CMOST educator.

BUBBLOLOGY
Be a bubblologist, Perform bubble magic tricks and make different colored bubbles. Join us to experiment with the magic, science and art of bubbles during this wild and crazy birthday party.

ILLUMINATING SCIENCE
Have you ever wondered what makes things glow? Let's get scientific as we create secret messages and experiment with glowing putty and learn about animals that glow in the dark!

KOOKY CONCOCTIONS
Conduct fun and exciting chemistry experiments at your birthday party! Kids learn about solids, liquids, and gases as tehy create kooky concotions like liquid lasagna and silly putty. This party features the Molecularium dome show.

I SCREAM, U SCREAM, WE SCREAM 4 N-ICE CREAM
Join us in an exploration of one of the coldest substances on earth, Liquid Nitrogen (N)! We will smash balloons, freeze marshmallows and finish up by creating our own ice cream in seconds flat!

UNFOLDING MYSTERIES - the Origami Paper Party
Try your hand at folding & inventing with nothing other than a flat piece of paper! We’ll experiment with the ancient art of origami and learn how scientist use it today.
*Unfolding Mysteries has a $15.00 supply fee for the origami paper.*

GETTING BUGGY*
They are creepy and they are crawly! Join us and learn about the various kinds of insects, arachnids, and other arthropods that live at CMOST! Then put what you have learned to work as we head outside on a bug hunt of our own!
*This party is offered seasonally from May through September, and the outside activity is weather dependent.
